Ilayathalapathy Vijay is the next Super star. Vijay is still the man of the masses and he has one of the largest fan following in India. According to a recent survey done by a marketing agency, after Rajinikanth, Vijay’s face has the biggest reach in Tamil Nadu.

Small shops in rural parts of the state use his pictures to attract the buyers. Last week, a jewellery shop with branches all over South India signed him up as the brand ambassador.

It once again proves beyond doubt that Vijay is a superstar, and has a largest fan following in Tamil Nadu after Rajnikanth.

Vijay Wins Favorite Actor award!

Illayathalapathy Vijay has won Fans Favorite Actor award during the Kalaignar TV Isaiaruvi Channel’s awards for film music directors and playback singers. Udhayanidhi Stalin and director Dharani presented the award to Vijay during a function held to distribute the awards.

Vijay to Start Remake of Bodyguard from April 1

Ilayathalapathy Vijay will start the tamil remake of Malayalam movie Body Guard as his 51st film from April 1st. Directed by Siddique, the film cast Vijay and Asin in the lead roles. Vijay will play the role done by Dileep while Asin is going to do Nayanthara’s role in the Malayalam original. Director Siddique has made some minor changes in the Tamil version to suit Vijay’s style.

Vijay was shown the preview of the movie along with his wife earlier and Vijay liked the script and immediately expressed his wish to remake it in Tamil. Body Guard is a romantic comedy and a family entertainer with sentiments too. Read the rest of this entry »

Vijay & Asin Pairing Again!

The wait is all over for all Vijay fans. Actress Asin will playing the heroine role in Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Tamil remake of Malayalam Bodyguard!

Sources close to Asin have confirmed that the actress has given her nod to do the Tamil remake. Asin and Vijay are pairing together for third time after their blockbuster hits of Sivakasi and Pokkiri.

The movie will be directed by Siddique who did the original and produced by Sivaraju Venkatraju of Geetha Chitra International, who last made Priymanavale with Vijay in 2000.

The shoot of Bodyguard in Tamil is likely to start in the middle of March in Chennai.

Vijay’s 51st Film is Malayalam Movie Bodyguard Remake

The latest news about Vijay’s 51st movie is that Sivaraju Venkatraju with produce the 51st movie.

Vijay’s 51st movie is going to be produced by Sivaraju Venkatraju, who last made Priymanavale with Vijay in 2000. Vjay’s 50th film Sura is being produced by his Kathalikku Mariyathai producer Sangli Murugan.

Vijay 51st movie is going to remake of Malayalam super hit movie Bodyguard, directed by Siddique who will also do the Tamil version which will be produced by Sivaraju Venkatraju of Geetha Chitra International, Telugu film producers. Read the rest of this entry »
