Ilayathalapathy Vijay is the Most searched Tamil actor on Google!

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is the most searched Tamil Actor on Google Trends for the year 2014. As per the official Google trends report of 2014, Vijay is the most searched actor in Kollywood. Vijay is followed by Surya, while Ajith occupies third position. Rajini and Kamal Hassan are at fourth and fifth position respectively.

For the year 2013 also Ilayathalapthy Vijay topped the 2013 Google trends among Tamil actors. Not just in Google, Vijay has also been ranked above Rajini and Ajith in the top celebrities list reported by the reputed business magazine, Forbes India.

Vijay is ahead of Rajini and Ajith in Forbes List

Popular business magazine Forbes has revealed its list of top 100 celebrities in India and among Tamil actors Ilayathalapathy Vijay has topped the list. Forbes India have come out with their yearly list of the Top 100 celebrities in India based on earnings and fame for the year 2014. Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, M.S.Dhoni and Akshay Kumar occupy the first 5 spots.

From the Tamil film world, Vijay, Rajini, Ajith and Dhanush occupy the 41st, 45th, 51st and 78th spots respectively. Among the other prominent South Indian film personalities, A.R.Rahman is at 13, Mahesh Babu is at 30 and A.R.Murugadoss is at 39.

22 Years of Vijayism

Ilayathalapathy Vijay has completed 22 years in Tamil cinema. It’s 22 Years of Vijayism and Ilayathalapathy Vijay has earned millions and millions of die-hard fans across the Country. Vijay made his debut in Naalaya Theerpu, which was produced by his father S. A. Chandrasekhar.

After Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, Vijay is the only actor in the current generation who has given Re 100 crore gross film in Tamil cinema. In terms of Box office collection revenues Vijay’s Kaththi stands next to Rajnikanth’s Enthiran. Vijay also has the second largest fan club in Kollywood after Rajini.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is Next Superstar!

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is Next Superstar!. The popular Tamil Weekly Kumudam has recently conducted a poll to decide the Next Superstar of Kollywood. There were 8 contenders Vijay, Ajith, Surya, Vikram, STR, Dhanush, Arya and Jiiva. After a mammoth 35 Lakh Votes were registered through website, Postal and through their magazines Ilayathalapathy Vijay was declared the Next Superstar.

Vijay captured the first place bagging 12,80,300 votes, While Ajith came in second with 12,17,650. Surya was a third with 5,47,050 votes. Dhanush secured Fourth while Vikram came 5th and STR, Arya and Jiiva secured 6th,7th and 8th position respectively.

Vijay‬ Writes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi‬

Ilayathalapathy Vijay has written a letter to the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi about the tax issue which is affecting the film Industry in a great deal lately.

In his letter to the Prime Minister Vijay has said “Cinema is not only a medium that entertains masses but also generates massive revenue for the Government. But the sad part is that the industry is facing a lot of problems lately and despite the efforts of many, the attempt to revive the industry seems futile. Many theaters are turning into marriage halls and shopping malls.”

Vijay also wrote, “Many leading producers have met with heavy losses and are looking at other possible business opportunities. If this situation persists, I’m afraid the millions of people depending on the industry for their living, will lose all their jobs.” Read the rest of this entry »
