Vijay to Start Tamil Remake of Bodyguard

Ilayathalapathy Vijay will start the tamil remake of Malayalam movie Body Guard as his 51st film. Directed by Siddique, the film cast Vijay and Asin in the lead roles. Vijay will play the role done by Dileep while Asin is going to do Nayanthara’s role in the Malayalam original. Director Siddique has made some minor changes in the Tamil version to suit Vijay’s style.

Director Siddique is now on the look out for a suitable Tamil title for the film. The shooting of this film will start from April 7th as per sources. Siddique and Vijay worked together long back for their film Friends, which was also a Malayalam film in original. Read the rest of this entry »

Vijay & Asin Pairing Again!

The wait is all over for all Vijay fans. Actress Asin will playing the heroine role in Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Tamil remake of Malayalam Bodyguard!

Sources close to Asin have confirmed that the actress has given her nod to do the Tamil remake. Asin and Vijay are pairing together for third time after their blockbuster hits of Sivakasi and Pokkiri.

The movie will be directed by Siddique who did the original and produced by Sivaraju Venkatraju of Geetha Chitra International, who last made Priymanavale with Vijay in 2000.

The shoot of Bodyguard in Tamil is likely to start in the middle of March in Chennai.
