Vijay Kaavalan was released in India with nearly 350 prints on January 15th. Kaavalan has set the Box office collections on fire by collecting nearly 55 lakhs in chennai on opening weekend.

Other pongal releases have collected more nearly 60-65 lakhs in chennai. But Kaavalan released only on January 15th has collected 95% of other movies Box office collections in just 2 days and also Kaavalan has been released only in 350 screens whereas other pongal releases have been screened on nearly 600 screens.

Recently some theaters in chennai have started to increase the number of kaavalan shows played. In PVR Chennai on January 15th there was no shows of Kaavalan, then on 16th it was increased to 2 shows and now it is been screened on 10 screens whereas other pongal releases are screened on just 5 screens. Vettaikaran Collects 3 Crores in Chennai

Vijay’s Vettaikaran which released on December 18 has crossed Rs.3 crore mark in chennai. The movie has so far collected nearly 3.10 crores in chennai alone.

Vettaikaran movie was released in 16 screens across the chennai city.
