Curreently, Ilayathalapathy Vijay is shooting for his untitled 51st movie at malaysia and shooting had been going on there for the past 3 Days and the crew is all set to return back tomorrow.

Another happy news for all Vijay fans is, Vijay’s 52nd movie title VELAYUDHAM is all set to kick start from July 15 before which Vijay would finish off his current movie, directed by Siddiq. A grand function is said to take place at MADRAS UNIVERSITY AUDITORIUM on July 15th at 9 AM, where more than 3000 fans are expected to gather. This movie would be directed by Raja and is to be produced by Aascar Ravichandran, who is joining vijay after Kadaluku Mariathai. The movie would have Genelia and Hansika Motwani playing the female lead along with Vijay. Rumours are that,Harris Jeyaraj would be the music director, but it has not been confirmed officially. Talks are also going on with Vijay Antony,as he made a great remark with Vettaikaran. The rest of the crew details would be officially confirmed on July 15.

The function is said to be organised in a grand manner and many important VIP’s are expected to gather.All the fans attending the function would be given a special branded T-Shirt, with a Vijay picture on it and all would be feasted with Briyani too.

Raja being a very successful director, his combination with Vijay has already created much hypes around Kollywood Industry.
The movie is expected to be commercial entertainer and Raja has already said, that it would be movie that would be enjoyed by audiences of all classes.

So lets all keep our fingers crossed for Velayudham to kick off from July 15

51st and 52nd movie update

Ilayathalapathy Vijay would be starting off his 52nd movie titled VELAYUDHAM from July 15, for which a grand function is already arranged to take place at Madras University. All fans who would be attending the function, would be complimented with Briyani and a T-Shirt which has a Vijay photo.

Vijay has returned back to chennai from his shooting for the untitled 51st movie, which would be a remake of Malayalam hit Bodyguard, that is being directed by Siddiq.The Bodyguard crew is now on a break and would resume their shoot from August 1st.And in the mean time, Vijay would start his shoot for Velayudham from July 19 and the first schedule is set to go till July 31, after which Vijay would resume his shoot for Bodyguard.The music director of Velayudham is Vijay Antony .Nothing about the technical crew has been confirmed yet for Velayudham, however it would be known on July 15.

From then Vijay would be acting in two movies simultaneously and buzz is that, the 51st movie of Vijay, which is the remake of Bodyguard is all Schedule for Diwali.

Sonia Agarwal: I acted with Vijay in Madurey. Actually there were 3 heroines, but mine was an important role and songs were hit. It was a nice experience acting with Vijay.

Bipasha Basu: I did a guest role in Sachien because I liked the script of the movie. The shooting was in Ooty, very interesting days… Jolly unit and a calm hero…

Vijay has been awarded the Fans’ Favorite Actor award during the Kalaignar TV Isaiaruvi Channel’s awards for film music directors and playback singers. Udhayanidhi Stalin and director Dharani presented the award to Vijay during a function held to distribute the awards.

Rahul Nambiar and actress Andrea received the best debut male and female playback singer awards respectively. Selvaganesh received the best debut music director award for scoring the music for the film Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu.

Shruti Haasan was presented the best music director award by Ilayaraja for scoring the music for Unnai Pol Oruvan. Ilayaraja was honored with a silk shawl by the Kalaignar TV’s CEO Amirtham.

Theatre owners decide against Vijay again

It was decided at a meeting by Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association in Chennai on Tuesday not to extend cooperation to films starring Vijay, as the actor “failed to compensate the losses” faced by those running cinema halls.

According to theatre owners, they suffered huge losses by screening Vijay’s recent films like ‘Azhagia Tamil Magan’, ‘Kuruvi’, ‘Villu’, ‘Vettaikaran’ and ‘Sura’, as they paid a heavy price thanks to the actor’s star value.

“But the movies failed to generate good revenues at the box office and forced us to face huge losses. Following this, we requested the actor to partly compensate the money we lost and share our burden,” they said.

“Since we are yet to get a positive reply from him, we have decided not to extend cooperation to the forthcoming films of Vijay.” they said. Meanwhile, a resolution passed at the meeting congratulated Rama Narayanan for being elected as the Tamil Film Producers Council president for third time.

Meanwhile, a couple of stills from the actor’s forthcoming film ‘Velayudham’ were released to the media today. Directed by ‘Jayam’ Raja, the film will be produced by Aascar Ravichandran.

Stupid Theatre Owners…Vijay anna please solve this problem soon as possible…so worried bout this matter:(
