Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s 50th and golden jubilee film is to be directed by Jayam Raja. This is rather a big surprise since leading directors like Dharani, Siddique were considered as front runners for directing Vijay’s golden jubilee movie.
Jayam Raja has an impressive list of super hits like M.Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi, Something Something, Unnakum Enakkum, Santosh Subramaniam and Hanuman Junction in Telugu. Raja is known as the “Raja of Remakes”. So these success streaks may have influenced Vijay to choose Jayam Raja. Now we have to see, whether Raja will go for an original subject or for a remake, for Vijay’s Golden Jubilee film.
